At KP Protection Consulting, our mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to confidently protect themselves and their loved ones through responsible firearms and self-defense training. We are committed to fostering a culture of safety, respect, and accountability by ensuring every person we train is equipped to make informed, thoughtful decisions in high- pressure situations.
Our Motto
The KP Protection Consulting company motto is "Strength, Honor, Courage, Commitment" because we believe these four qualities of character are necessary for safe and responsible personal protection.
Strength- refers to both a person's capacity to withstand great pressure and their endurance to maintain a state of thoughtful decision-making in difficult and dangerous situations.
Honor- refers to a person's adherence to doing what is right and remaining accountable for their decisions.
Courage- refers to a person's ability to maintain their course of action in the face of fear. Notably, courage is not the opposite of fear, but rather the ability to persist through your fear.
Commitment- is the key component that holds the other three qualities together. Commitment refers to a persons dedication and attentiveness to harnessing their strength, honor, and courage when faced with imminent threat to themselves or their loved ones. This requires intentional devotion to understanding and adhering to all self-protection laws; maintaining regular training sessions to continually increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities; and prioritizing safety and responsibility in all their actions.

Owner / Chief Instructor
Kevin Pool
Kevin is a retired peace officer with over 30 Years experience, During that time, he served as his agency's Chief Rangemaster and Chief Safety officer. Additionally, he has provided trainings in CCW and other self-protection courses for the past six years.
General Counsel / Range Safety Officer
Heather Pool
Heather is a licensed attorney in the State of California with over 17 years' experience practicing law. She previously provided in-house counsel to a major firearm training company, and now serves as our KPPC General Counsel. She also serves as our NRA-Certified Range Safety Officer.
